Terms of Service

1. About the service

paircast (the "Service") is a Chinese astrology (BaZi / Zi Ping) compatibility analysis tool. The structured chart math is generated by our own engine; an LLM renders that structured output as natural-language reading. The Service is provided for cultural and entertainment purposes only and does not constitute medical, legal, psychological, or financial advice. Do not rely on the Service as the sole basis for any significant life decision.

2. Acceptance

By using the Service (including browsing, registering, generating a report, or purchasing an unlock) you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

3. Account

• Sign-in uses an email magic link; no passwords are stored.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You agree not to share account credentials or impersonate others.

4. Payment and refunds

• One-shot unlock: USD 29 per report, perpetual access.
• Payment is processed by Stripe; supported payment methods and the final charge are shown in Stripe checkout.
• Refund policy: because the content is generated and delivered immediately after purchase, we generally do not offer refunds, except where required by law. If a technical failure prevents you from generating or viewing your report, contact us — we will assess and resolve it in good faith.

5. Intellectual property

• The engine, UI, code, and "paircast" brand are owned by paircast.
• The data you submit (names, birth details) remains yours; you grant paircast a limited licence to process it solely to fulfil the Service.
• The reading generated for you is licensed to you for personal and family use (including forwarding to your partner and parents). You may not commercially resell paircast output, use it to train models, or publicly distribute the chart of a third party without their consent.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• circumvent the paywall, abuse the free tier, or programmatically scrape reports;
• submit another person’s real name + birth details without their consent;
• reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service;
• use the Service to commit fraud, harass others, or for any other unlawful purpose.

7. Disclaimers

• The Service produces output based on traditional Chinese astrology frameworks and a generative language model. It is provided "as is" for entertainment; we do not guarantee accuracy or prediction.
• Nothing produced by the Service constitutes professional advice.
• paircast is not liable for decisions made in reliance on Service output.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, paircast’s aggregate liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid to the Service in the preceding 12 months.

9. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time (see Privacy Policy).
• If you breach these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your access without refund.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes shall first be addressed by good-faith negotiation; if unresolved, they shall be submitted to the courts of Singapore.

11. Changes

We may revise these Terms occasionally. Material changes update the date at the top of the page and are surfaced on your next sign-in. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
